About the role

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Making sure that everything is set-up well for the day to day activities of the room to be carried out
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the staff and children in your care
  • Providing a safe, secure, caring and stimulating environment for the children
  • Following guidance from your course and your room leader in regards to your responsibilities and the care of the children
  • Working closely with managers and other nursery staff to create a positive environment in the nursery and to build close ties and relationships with parents and carers
  • Engaging in care and play-activities throughout the day to nurture and help for the development and well-being of the children.

We are looking for passionate individuals who have a genuine love for working with children, and who are eager to further their education and skills by undertaking an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in childcare. We will pay for your qualification.

About you

  • You are Level 2 qualified in Childcare or higher
  • You have experience working in childcare
  • You are proactive in taking the initiative and you genuinely care about being part of a healthy work environment

To be a good fit you will have to be a good team player, self-motivated, having a friendly, warm attitude towards the children and your colleagues. You have to have a good understanding of child development and to create fruitful learning experiences while paying attention to health and safety norms and tasks.
